Peter Johnson | Lake Lillian Office

Peter Johnson, of Johnson Ag Services, grew up on a 500-acre farm near Lake Lillian, MN. In 2003 he graduated from Willmar High School. After high school Johnson studied teaching at Mankato State for 2 years. In 2004, he started managing his family’s farm for his dad. During that time Johnson realized his heart wasn’t in teaching, so he switched his course focus and graduated in the fall of 2007 with a 2-year degree specializing in agriculture. During the time he was helping his dad Johnson realized that his heart was at home on the farm, so he started renting from his parents in 2008.  Things took a turn in February of 2008 when the opportunity to own a Pioneer Dealership came his way. In addition to all of the other major changes in his life Johnson also married his high school sweetheart, Ashley, the same year.
Johnson wanted to provide even more services for his farmers so in 2011 he joined Precision Planting. He enjoyed bringing more services to his farmers so much that he wanted to become even more efficient for them. To achieve this, Johnson formed a partnership with Jason Schaefer, Schaefers Precision Planting, in the Spring of 2016.
